Thesera L is a professional lifting treatment. It uses naturally derived, nanoscale threads made of chitosan and silk protein — with over 99% purity, to lift, firm, and tighten the skin without downtime. It's a five-step professional treatment that takes 75 to 90 minutes and delivers results your clients will feel immediately and keep seeing for weeks afterward.
The technology behind it — TDN
The reason Thesera L works the way it does comes down to a patented delivery system called TDN, which stands for Transdermal Delivery Nanotechnology. TDN technology uses nanoparticles that penetrate deep into the skin and deliver active ingredients directly to target cells.
Here's how it works:
Our skin has natural "protein rivets" called comeodesmosomes that hold skin cells tightly together — think of them like the snaps on a jacket, keeping everything locked in place. Most skincare products can't get past them, so they just sit on the surface.
TDN is an encapsulated acid complex. When applied to the skin, those encapsulated acids essentially unsnap those protein rivets, creating tiny vertical openings — "tunnels" — in the skin. Active ingredients, including the nano-sized chitosan threads, can then pass through those openings and absorb much deeper than they normally would.
According to Thesera, it as an upgraded version of a liposome mechanism, meaning the acids are encapsulated (protected) until they hit the skin, then they release and do their work.
So in other words, the TDN tunneling step allows the product to penetrate the dermal layers via a paracellular pathway, filling the area under the skin. Once those channels are open, the melting thread — in liquid form — is applied to the surface of the skin and absorbed. From there, it gets to work.
The five steps
Every traditional Thesera L treatment follows the same five-step protocol, and each step has a purpose:
Step one includes gently cleansing the skin. Step two is the TDN tunneling step — this is where the delivery channels are created. Step three is the melting thread application, where the liquid thread fiber is applied to the epidermis and begins absorbing into the skin. Step four uses cooling extracts to stimulate circulation and begin tightening. Step five is the nourishing finish — a complex peptide ampoule that improves the appearance of wrinkles and feeds the skin. There is also a particular facial massage that can be included which may be found in our Kin Academy under Thesera L protocol.
The result after one treatment is skin that looks lifted, feels firmer, and has a visible improvement in texture and tone. Results continue to build over the following four weeks as the threads absorb fully and stimulate collagen production from within.
What your clients will actually experience
The treatment is relaxing. Clients may feel some tightness and firmness during the treatment, but it's not painful and there's no downtime.
The ideal client is one who has been curious about thread lifts or filler but isn't ready to go there. They're noticing sagging, deepening nasolabial folds, or skin that just looks less dense than it used to.
